Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of Late Osinachi Nwachukwu is being investigated after he was arrested by the Lugbe Police on allegation of homicide and wife battery.
According to Vanguard News, the case has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Agency from the Lugbe Police Station. According to the source, “He was brought home because he insisted that he did not murder his wife, claiming that she was extremely unwell and that he took her to many hospitals for treatment, including Gwagwalada General Hospital and Federal Medical Centre. They stated he was driven home to offer proof of everything he alleged had transpired.”
However, DSP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Spokesperson, stated that Mr. Nwachukwu was taken to his home for a search as part of the investigation. “We went to his house as part of our ongoing inquiry into the matter,” the PPRO said. You don’t think we’ll hold him in our custody while we conduct our inquiry.
Remember that Osinachi died on Friday in a secret Abuja hospital after being admitted for days for a mysterious ailment, prompting her husband’s arrest on homicide/wife battery charges.
