The Redemption Camp, located in Mowe, Ogun State, Nigeria, is the campground and international headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a Pentecostal Evangelical megachurch. However, Pastor Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God spoke about what happened when they bought the campground.
According to him, when they came to the campground, it was the headquarters of highway robbers and nobody wanted to live near that place at all. The only things that are common there were pythons, big snakes, 6meters long, big like a palm tree. Nobody wanted the area, but my God told him, “this is where I have for you, I am going to build a city for you.”
They got there when an acre of land was being sold for one thousand naira because nobody wanted it and now that God has turned that place around. “God can produce something out of nothing,” he said.
