Pastor Adeboye married Folu Adeboye, his wife & married her in 1967 according to the traditional rites being a Yoruba man. He had a traditional wedding but could not seem to afford a white wedding or church wedding so he deferred it. Two years later, he had raised money to fund a white wedding so he got married to Folu Adeboye again in 1969 in a church wedding which was the second time he got married but not to different women but the same woman.
He had challenges with a ring as he could not also afford that so he promised Mummy G.O that she wouldn’t lack anything she needs & from the look of things now, God has been faithful with that promise. They’ve been married for 52 years now.
I’m impressed Daddy refused to borrow and chose to wait instead.
