During the First Thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the Redeem Christian Church Of God. Pastor Enoch talked about the Songs of Victory. This is the ending of the year and it is a time of Celebration and rejoicing to the Lord for bringing us this far in good health and sound mind.
He outlined the different kinds of praises and songs we sing depending on the challenges we are passing through at the moment, just like David of Old he rendered joyful songs unto the Lord. No matter the situation you are faced with in life as long you’re a child of God. You should hold on to God and know that you have a home beyond the Earth.
He further revealed the name of the song he sang was he got converted and God saved his soul in 1973.
“I am rejoicing my name has been written, I am rejoicing that I am born again. I sang that song years ago when the Almighty God saved my soul in 1973”
He said this is one of the songs he loved and relished when he found Jesus and accepted him as his personal Lord and Savior. When he remembers his past life as a sinner, however, his life was moving smoothly and everything was working out fine for him. He was a lecturer at that time with a good wife, had whatever a man of his age should have like car, house, and children. But on a particular day when he heard that song, every of his life achievement meant nothing to him. Everything he had accomplished in life was vanity without Christ, a life without JESUS is worthless and in vain. And right from the time he encountered Jesus in 1973, he can never forget the story behind that song as he still remembers the song to date.
You have to repent from your sins, and surrender completely to God to have joy unspeakable.No matter what is happening around you on Earth, things may not be going smoothly but as long as you are on your way to Heaven that is enough.
