Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Reveals Why Believers should stop singing “I will praise you Lord, with every breath that I take”

While preaching to his members in a video posted on Facebook, the Founder and General Overseer of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, said you should stop singing “I will praise you, Lord, with every breath that I take”. He did give reasons for saying so.

The reason, according to him, is that the song is nice but it is not a praise song. “A song that says to God, ‘I will praise you, I am praising you, is not necessarily praising God. So, you don’t have to sing it. If I keep saying that I will give you 10 dollars, it does not mean I have given it to you”, he affirmed. He said the song only promised to praise God, but the singer is not praising God.

Therefore, anybody that wants to praise God should call Him the names that exalt and give glory to Him, not singing by singing “I will praise you Lord with every breath that I take”, he concluded.
