Pastor, author, televangelist, and founder of Salvation Ministries with headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, David Ibiyeomie is from Nigeria.
David Ibiyeomie received his elementary and secondary education at Banham Primary School and Government Comprehensive Secondary School Borikiri, both in the state of Rivers. He enrolled at Port Harcourt’s University of Science and Technology in 1980.
Ibiyeomie joined full-time in the Word of Faith Bible Institute, a division of David Oyedepo’s ministry, in 1995. On April 13, 1997, Ibiyeomie established Salvation Ministries with 34 attendees. [Reference needed]

Ibiyeomie has stirred up controversy numerous times. Ibiyeomie is accused of making anti-Ogoni statements in January 2017, which prompted the Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People to demand an apology from him.
Journalist Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo claimed in March 2017 that Ibiyeomie was in a relationship with Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo. Olunloyo was then detained for defamation and had his bail denied. She was nevertheless released. Ibiyeomie vehemently refuted the claims.
