Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries, told his congregation the story of what happened between him and some journalists. He said, “Long ago, some journalists came after me – very fierce. Either they were to destroy me for life or I triumph over them. They went to the presidency and reported me that I should be arrested. I knew nobody, it was a fierce battle. The then President of the NUJ was also part of them. I said what kind of fight? They were on air, on social media, everywhere.”
Speaking further, he said that it was a gang-up between the occult world, some journalists, some pastors inclusive and some politicians. They said ‘finish this man whichever way you finish him.’ So at that point, he went to the Word and explained that that’s why you must locate the Word. “I laid a sacrifice because revelation comes with sacrifice – I don’t want to teach that one. When I laid the sacrifice I said Lord, give me a Word, give me a revelation,” he said.
While he was sitting down, God took him to Psalm 18:39-40. So, he took this Scripture and praised God in the night. After he finished the praise, the battle turned.
The person who led the team died physically. Others were locked up; God took over the battle and fought them. And that was the end of the battle.
Finally, he said, “Your own case will be different from my own case but every time there’s a situation, pick the Scripture.
Put the Scripture before you and then praise God with the Scripture then the Word will become flesh. First and foremost, it is not just dancing. For any prophecy to be fulfilled in your life, you must first and foremost locate the Scripture relevant to the situation, and then praise God based on that Scripture.”
