The president and founder of Salvation ministries with headquarters in Nigeria, Pastor David Ibiyeomie who spoke during a live service held in the church today has urged men to be responsible and to learn to give their wives the best. The Pastor who spoke on the issue of marriage gave this advice to couples today. He also advised women to be submissive to their husbands.

Marriage is a covenant.
A covenant is an agreement between 2 or more parties with terms and benefits.
Psalm 89:34
God can’t break any covenant He has with you.
Marriage is God’s idea not man’s idea.
You must go to God to get the blueprint.
1. God initiates the relationship.
Genesis 2:18
2. If God initiated it, God sets the terms.
Man and woman have to submit to the Word of God.
Ephesians 5:21
They must both submit to the Word of God before the woman submits to the man.
Ephesians 5:22-23
The man is the representative of God in the home.
The way you submit to God is the way you submit to the man.
You can’t tell the driver of the car to shift for you to take over while he is in motion driving. You can only advise.
Titus 2:4
Women are also to love their husbands.
Love has a medicinal value with no side effects.
There is no overdose.
The more you increase the love the better.
Men, Give your wife the best.
John 3:16
Men, provide for your family. That’s your responsibility.
It doesn’t mean the woman should not support.
Women, Submission is not bondage. It is an attitude.
Women, be content.
Accept whatever your husband gives to you with content based on his size.
A woman who doesn’t have budget is a useless woman.
Pocket money is separate from feeding money.
Pocket money is flexible but feeding money is fixed.
Exodus 20:17.
That they are eating chicken in the next house, don’t cover it.
Stomach does not tell what you eat, only mouth tells.
Set your house in order.
Ecclesiastes 4:8
Support your husband, 2 are better than one.
Our responsibility is to make the covenant work.
FEATURES OF THE COVENANT
A. Unity
The Covenant is the pathway to unity.
Genesis 2:24
When 2 people understand the covenant, It unites their marriage.
Many people are married, only few are friends.
Never use any confidential information against your husband or wife.
They will never tell you anything again.
B. Fellowship Companionship and Communication.
Genesis 2:18
C. Sacrifice
Many want a great marriage but don’t want the sacrifice of today.
No pastor starting a ministry newly can live alone, otherwise the Church will never grow.
In the early days I lived in one room with my wife and we used to eat rice with palm oil.
Many young people will say they can’t endure.
Sacrifice will make you endure the temporary pressures to obtain the permanent pleasures.
Some women marry and are complaining after 6 months.
If you look for a ready made man, he won’t value you.
He can always walk you out because you didn’t contribute anything.
Luke 2:2
Any family that is not ready to sacrifice has no future.
When you enter into a covenant it is unbreakable, Irrevocable.

99 per cent of divorces are caused by wrong information.
When you know the Bible, you know when a voice is not the voice of God.
Forget this modern days where people are breaking marriages anyhow, they don’t understand the covenant.
Father, give me better understanding of the covenant. I want to walk in the covenant. I receive grace to walk in the understanding of the covenant.
