Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has made some important clarifications about when the Holy Communion should be taken, using proofs from the Bible.

Pastor Adeboye said yesterday, February 2, 2023, at the Holy Ghost service for the month of February, that when we drink the wine, which represents Jesus’ blood, we come into contact with the baptizer in the holy spirit, while the bread can heal us. He also claimed that the wine can wash away all sins and bring the power of the Holy Spirit.Pastor Adeboye said that this is why he keeps saying that the holy communion is not a casual meal.

He then said that you should look in the Bible if you want to take holy communion. He said that Holy Communion should not be eaten during the day but should be eaten at night. He talked about 1 Corinthians 11:23–26, where the Lord’s Supper is called the holy communion. Pastor Adeboye said that it’s not the Lord’s breakfast or lunch, but the Lord’s supper. He also brought up the part of the passage that says, “The Lord Jesus took bread the night he was betrayed.” He explained that if the first Holy Communion was taken at night, it meant that night was the best time to take it.
