Today 20th, October 2021 marks one year after the peaceful #EndSARS became bloody as many Nigerian youths became maimed or even lost their lives in the protest.
Many well-known personalities and celebrities have come out to stand with the #EndSARS peaceful memorial protest and some even actively participated in the protest.
The wife of Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel was not left out as she took to her Instagram page to express displeasure at the way the #2020 EndSARS protest turned out to be.
In a lengthy post, pastor Faith expressed surprise at the fact that it’s already a year after the #EndSARS saga, which is still fresh in the minds of Nigerians and yet the shootings and massacre which occurred on that day remains a mystery.
She stated that since that time justice has not been served, and nobody has been brought to book, and many more people have been and are still gruesomely treated to date.
She wrote: “Therefore, we will lift our hands and cry out our hearts to the God of vengeance to avenge the blood of these innocent youths, bring to book every culprit involved in the massacre and every prayer made for this cause will be answered speedily in Jesus name, amen”.
The pastor was right to cry out for vengeance upon the culprits who took the life of the innocent victims
that day.
As the Bible says in Romans 12:19, “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
The Bible made us understand that as Christians we can’t retaliate when we are wronged but we should put our trust in God who will avenge and fight for our cause
