A few years back in school, I was introduced to the belief that every entity in this world has an opposite. Good and bad, light and darkness, and stuff like that. Although I don’t agree with the main point of the teaching and what they were driving at, it is important not to ignore the truth of what they were saying. You see, there are opposing emotions, and one of these is faith and fear. You cannot have both, and they significantly oppose each other.
Faith Oyedepo has said that fear is the arch-enemy of the spirit of faith. In fact, she said that one of them will chase out the other. Fear will chase out faith, and faith will chase out fear.
As believers, faith is a very important part of our spiritual life. We cannot afford to be faithless. We were saved by our faith in Jesus, and it is our faith in Jesus that will keep us.
As you recognize this truth, you can see that it is important for us to be fearless. God has not given us the spirit of fear, so we should rise up in faith and push it out.
You see, both faith and fear come through what we hear. If you always hear God’s word, your faith will be built up. Focusing on things that are not God’s word will fill you with so much fear. It is so easy to be afraid if you live in this world. If you cannot ignore all the terrible things happening on a daily basis, you will be a fearful person.
Determine to drive out fear today by filling yourself with faith by the word of God. Be blessed.
