Pastor Kumuyi Reveals Why He Was Excommunicated From His Former Church In 1977

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church spoke to his ministers about how he was excommunicated from his former church in 1977.

He said that in 1977, his General Overseer then in the church he was going called him and said, “Kumuyi, this thing you are doing is going to land you in trouble.” He asked, “What am I doing?” Then the G.O replied, “You are going about preaching the gospel and we have not given you ordination or license to do that. He then told him that the Bible gives him the license to do that. The G.O then said, “Are you quoting Bible to me?” and he told him that it is allowed since they are Bible believers. The next Sunday, his name was mentioned and he was excommunicated and sent out of the church and he couldn’t attend the church again.

According to the man of God, he didn’t drop the Heavenly Vision he saw because of that. He said that he has faced oppositions, contradictions and people who have iron for their backbone in their incorrigibility but that didn’t change him.

Finally, this is a lesson for all Christians that we keep moving and running after the heavenly vision. Our Lord Jesus Christ will son return and if we are not readily following this heavenly vision, then we might not go with him. God will help us in Jesus name.
