Early Life
Nigerian preacher, priest, and author Lazarus Muoka The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement was founded by him, and he serves as its general overseer.
Development and career
Lazarus Muoka was raised a Catholic and attended primary and secondary school in Umuhu-Okabia, Orsu LGA, Orlu Zone, Imo State, where he was born. He relocated to Lagos in 1975 and worked for a firm for a while before beginning his own enterprise, which he continued to run until he fully committed his life to Christ.
Lazarus Muoka claimed to have had many dreams from God in 1994 prompting him to pull out from the church he was serving as a pastor and set up his own church. Shortly after pulling out, he set up The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement with the aim of “preaching the undiluted word of God”. The church which started with a few pioneer members has gone on to become one of the most popular churches in Nigeria.

Controversy and criticism
Lazarus Muoka’s miracles have drawn criticism for being “stage-managed” and “false,” according to their detractors. After forming an unwritten deal with Lazarus to invest in the church, a former member of his church claimed that Lazarus shortchanged him of 317million. Additionally, a woman made a number of accusations against him, which she then recorded and sold in prominent marketplaces in Lagos and other parts of Nigeria on CD formats. The church’s leadership referred to these accusations as “baseless” and “untrue,” respectively.
