Some ministers can fill an entire stadium in Nigeria, yet they are not well known outside the country, according to pastor Matthew Ashimolowo.
The Kingsway International Christian Centre’s (KICC) founder, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, gave a sermon titled “Stepping Into New Beginnings” on Day Eight of the Jubilee Word Festival on November 13, 2022. But before his talk, the man of God took some time to honor Papa Ayo Oritsejafor.
He stated, “I’ve known this man of God for 43 years, yet some of the others present don’t know how it all started.” We had to travel with him to welcome Reverend Shambach to Lagos exactly 43 years ago. 43 years. These men have just reminded me that when the equipment for Word of Life Television needed to be purchased, Pastor Ayo placed them in my home in London.
He continued by saying that while there are preachers in Nigeria who can fill a stadium, their influence is limited to their own country. But God raised a guy from a place named Warri. When I mentioned 43 years ago, I meant as recently as at the time, when he had only been in the ministry for seven years. It implies that God’s grace was evident in his life even at that time.
He continued by saying, “You shouldn’t be in the presence of brilliance and fail to recognize its value.” When we celebrate grace, we are showing our appreciation for its leadership, voice, consistency, ability to guide the body of Christ while he served as president and head of CAN, voice of God for Word of Life, and role as an example to many evangelists who were unaware that they could lead a fantastic church like this.
