Early Life and Education
Pastor Poju Oyemade was raised with his siblings and received his early schooling in the southwest of Nigeria, where his family is a devout Christian. He was a student at the Ibadan International School (ISI). He was admitted to study at the reputed University of Lagos after passing his SSCE. When Poju Oyemade was still a student at the University of Lagos, he started his career as a minister (UNILAG).

Career
Pastor Poju Oyemade was mentored by individuals like Bishop David Oyedepo and Chris Tunde Joda and experienced another birth at a young age.
On March 30, 1994, Pastor Poju founded the Covenant Christian Center with the support of Bishop David Oyedepo, who was in attendance in Yaba, Lagos.

In 2020, the church changed its name from Covenant Christian Center to The Covenant Nation. The movement had grown from a “center” to a “nation” of priests, the pastor said as he made the adjustment to the congregation.
Pastor Poju Oyemade also conducts a television program called “Insights for Living” that airs on Silverbird, Channels television, and Revelation Channel in an effort to spread the gospel to more people around the world (UK).
