Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi is the renowned founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry with Deeper Life Bible Church being the church arm of the ministry. The Church has grown in leaps and bounds in Nigeria and beyond.
One thing that distinguishes members of Deeper Life Bible Church especially their ladies is that they don’t use jewelry. They also don’t like to do make up when going to church or events.
In one of the recent videos uploaded to YouTube, the famous Bible Clergy stated that “as a pastor he labours, read and pray every night for his congregation so they can be godlike and heavenly in nature.”
The Cleric further noted that he believes in righteousness and holiness as requirements for getting to heaven and that jewellery is not part of the requirement. Pastor Kumuyi said he has been preaching righteousness and holiness for over three decades and he is not tired. He maintained that from what he sees in the Bible, if his congregants are not applying the principles of holiness he is teaching them, he would be crying for them.
In the video Pastor Kumuyi said, “if you come to Deeper Life Church and see all these women without jewellery or make up, you should be wise to get on your knees and ask God to give you what they’ve got.”
