Message from Pastor W.F. Kumuyi: There Is Something That Every Christian Ought To Keep In Mind
Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, addressed his congregation during a recent leadership development event about “Return, Renew Your Life and Ministry at Bethel.” He told them one crucial item they must always remember in one of his subtopics, “Direct commandment: remember the God of all benefits.”
He stated:
“Jacob was summoned by the Lord to recall who he was before God. The same principle applies to your life; go back to who you were before salvation, think back to who you were after salvation, and go back to Bethel.” He advised you to reflect on God’s blessings, remember what He has accomplished, and go back. That is God’s commandment.
He claimed that Jacob was remembering who he had been in the past, who he had been before going back to Bethel, the truth he had, how he had seen God and heard God speak to him, and how an angel had greeted him. God therefore wants us to keep in mind all that He has done for us since we first encountered Him at the Bethel experience.
He ended by saying,
“If you consider all the vows you have made since the time of your bethel and you look at yourself today and realize that you are not where you should be spiritually, it’s possible that you have lost your first experience, and now all those consecration and commitment you had before have faded away. In this case, the Lord is telling you to repent and return to where God wants you to be spiritually. And with the same conviction we had previously, we are revisiting those Bethel experiences.” In the name of Jesus, God will assist us.
