Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry spoke to his leaders at a recent Leadership Development Service about “The Making Of Josephs Out Of Today’s Jolted, Jaded Juveniles.”
However, he spoke about “The Dream Of A Joseph Destined For The Throne” and read from the book of Genesis 37:5-11. Joseph had dreams of his future and continually told his brothers which got them jealous “and they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and his words.” The cleric then said that if anyone is going to get to the throne, you must have a dream and you must make your study and your character lead you and mould you to that place.
According to him, “When you have a dream, vision, destination, goal, and plan, if you keep it to yourself, nobody will take you to account. If you have a dream and you hide and bury it, you will fail, and you are the only one who will know that you have failed. If you are lazy, diverted, distracted and not following through with your dream, nobody will be able to challenge you because they don’t know.”
So, When you have a dream, tell it, not to the people who will kill and destroy it, but tell it to your closest friend, and most importantly. Tell it to people who have achieved something. For example, as a professional who has a dream, go and discuss it with a CEO if you are serious about it. He or she will help you by telling you steps that will get you there”.
