Pastor W.F. Kumuyi: “Some Women Wear Long Dresses Without Jewelries, But They Are Not Concerned about Their Heart.”

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi once said, “Some People Wear Long Dresses Without Jewelries, but They Are Not Conscious About Their Heart.”

Pastor W.F. Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, spoke to his members at their Tuesday Leadership Development Message about “Permanently Abandoning Ensnaring Traditions and Embracing Truth.” He sends them a very important message about why they should care more about being right on the inside.

He said that there are people who only care about how you look on the outside—whether you wear jewelry or not, whether you wear long clothes or not, insisting on the length of women’s dresses—but who don’t care about how angry and jealous you are on the inside, or how righteous and holy you are on the inside, which is what God wants. He said that these kinds of people have turned into Pharisees. We are so serious and strict about things that don’t matter for getting to heaven, but we are loose and careless about things that do matter.

He said that this is why Christ asked the Pharisees why they broke God’s rules by following their own traditions. So, Jesus, who is full of love and is humble and kind, knows everything in everyone’s heart that will keep them from going to heaven and also stop the leaders of the day from going to heaven. He was very strong against them because, even though they said they were helping people get to heaven, they were actually stopping them. So, He told them to have bad luck.

Jesus said that they looked good to people, but they were full of hypocrisy and evil. This is what we need to see for ourselves in our own lives. Many people try to keep Deeper Life Bible Church’s outward look and style. They are very strict about that, but they don’t care about the inside. No time to pray or check their hearts. No time to see if they were ready for the Lord to come back. They don’t have time to check if they are paying attention to the prophecies in the Bible or if they really want to obey the Lord all the time. They only care about how they look.

Lastly, Jesus said that the religions that have been set up here are based on tradition and do not matter to God because they are full of hypocrisy and wrongdoing. Jesus called them snakes and scorpions and told them they will never be saved from hell fire. But we need to worry less about the outside and more about what’s going on inside.
