Pastor Olumide Emmanuel, the Overseer of Calvary Bible Church sent an important message to pastors in Nigeria.
He said that there is a ‘japa’ spirit among pastors now and informed them that if they want to run to Canada in the name of the ministry, they cannot make it there. He said that a pastor who has been in Nigeria for years and didn’t make it in the ministry, cannot make it in Canada. He said that such a driver will end up a Barber, a taxi driver, or even a security man there. He said that there are a lot of pastors like that in Canada with known stories. “A Lizard in Nigeria cannot become a Crocodile in Canada,” he said.
He further explained that many pastors do not know that they don’t have a message. The only reason why they are in ministry is because of the poverty in Nigeria. They are preaching against poverty and bad governance but what will they preach about in Canada? In a place that has a good system where everything works, what will you preach? He said that most of our preachings here expire at the airport and when you get there, you will still fail.
