Paul Enenche shares 2 major reasons why borrowing and being indebtedness is not good for Christians

Dr Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre has delivered a message on why living a life of borrowing is not good. He has also discussed two major things about living such a lifestyle that might not be good for you as a believer.

The act of borrowing would render you indebted. Being too much indebted to people or some organisations could mar your reputation. If care is not taken at some stages, you could be arrested and even charged to court for it. Asides from all these, it is also ungodly.

As shared by Church Gist, the cleric has shared 2 major things to note about borrowing that believers must be careful enough to understand to avoid living a life of borrowing.

2 major reasons why borrowing and being indebtedness is not good for Christians

1Borrowing Is An Anti-covenant Practice,

The act of borrowing is an anti-covenant practice. It is against the plans of God for a believer. The Bible has rightly affirmed that God shall provide for all our needs according to his riches by Christ Jesus—going ahead to borrow and be indebted to people would be against the plans and covenant in his word. According to the cleric, borrowing is anti-supernatural covenant practice. Borrowing is an anti-covenant practice that nullifies the effect of other covenant practices. It is against the will of God for a believer.

2. Borrowing Is Spending The Money You Don’t Yet Have, Thereby Attacking The Harvest Before It Arrives.

The act of borrowing renders the harvest plundered. It means you did not wait for your harvest to be ripe enough before you go ahead to harvest. The cleric on this has also advised believers to avoid the act of borrowing at all times. It renders your fortune dead. It kills your income and renders you vulnerable to shame and disgrace.

You must ensure you do not live above your capacity. Accept your status now and work on improving yourself to be able to afford all that you need financially. Apart from the fact that borrowing is against the covenant plans of God for you, it makes you vulnerable to ridicule and demeans your personality. Avoid it at all costs.
