People calling Pastor Adeboye and Bishop Oyedepo to lead Protests against the Government are ignorant – Pastor Austine

Pastor Austine Oviawe, popularly regarded as the Set-Man, is the Lead Pastor of PAO Faith Church. He took to his verified Facebook page, to defend Bishop David Oyedepo and other Nigerian Pastors.

People calling on Papa Adeboye, Bishop Oyedepo and other front line ministers to lead protests against the government are ignorant and being mischevious. Why not first mobilise your parents and grand parents to lead a protest first!

Jesus didn’t lead any protest against the Romans, Peter didn’t, and Paul didn’t. Even the Israelites in Egypt were not asked to take protest March against Pharaoh.

For us as a spiritual people, prayers and faith are our ultimate weapons, not civil disobedience. We disappointment demonic agendas and influences in governance, and bring down anything that exalts itself against our knowledge of God.

You want to protest, please go ahead and organise one as a Nigerian citizen. The church and it’s leaders know how to fight evil and wickedness in the land, and are doing that. It is why there is still a nation in the first place.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6:

“3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;)

5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”
