Emotional moments usually abound in marriages within and around an atmosphere of love and it causes couples to rejoice at the sight of each other. This was the insight Solomon tried to communicate when he wrote in the book of Proverbs 5:18, which reads,“Rejoice in the wife of your youth,” this means although one’s wife may grow older, she remains the wife of one’s youth.

According to the original intention of God, marriage was designed to enable a man and his wife come together as one flesh. Genesis 2:24 reveals that God designed it, for a man to leave his father and mother and become one with the wife of his youth, and that oneness continues for a lifetime, such that only death can part them. Therefore, couples who spend time together in love and happiness are fulfilling God’s agenda in marriage.

Taking into consideration the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church (LFC) – David Oyedepo, one would find out that a balance could be created in marriage, such that ministers of God can fulfil their ministries and at the same time have loving moments with their spouses. According to City People Online, Oyedepo met his wife, Faith Oyedepo, in 1976 when she was 28 years old, they eventually courted for 6 years before getting married in 1982. A little calculation would reveal that the couple has been married for 39 years.
