Popular Ondo State King in Trouble After going to shrine with Holy Bible

The indigenes of Ilara-Mokin land, a town located in a central part of Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, are protesting for the remover of Oba Abiodun Aderemi Adefehinti, the Alara of Ilara-Mokin Kingdom, after going to the town’s Shrine to pray with Holy Bible and the name of Jesus Christ rather than mentioning the name of their gods during Ijesu Festival, which took place in the town on Sunday 30th August 2020.

According to the information reaching this office from Ondo State, the said Oba has been ruling the kingdom for about 15 years now without any progress or development taking place in the town after gotten to the throne, apart from the ones executed by Elizade Motors’ boss, High Chief Adeojo.

Though, those who could not confront the traditional ruler were said to be murmuring around after Oba Abiodu was sighted again this year going to the shrine where the deities of the town are to pray during the festival with Holy Bible while his Olori followed him with a Bell from Church.

Having witnessed this, popular Nollywood actress, Alhaja Anike Alajogun, who is a daughter of the soil condemned the act during an exclusive interview with Journalists.

According to her, “Ijesu Festival is one of the Festivals we cherish alot in Ilara-Mokin. This is a festival that you will see every child of the soil returning from abroad to celebrate not until when the present king was installed and gradually changing the history. I personally go against the way the king of Alara of Ilara-Mokin kingdom is mixing up tradition with religion, praying with Bible and in Jesus name during the festival.

If Oba Abiodun can not comply with the Isese, he should leave the seat for those who are ready to do it according to Isese. It is not by force that he should die on the throne, nobody forced him to be a King. The last Ijesu festival was held last Sunday.
