In ministry, clashes can occur. This is because of the complex nature of human relationships on a general outlook. Therefore, it is not impossible that complications could arise in relationships involving two ministers.
Many times, these clashes could severe the relationship that exists between tie ministers who consider themselves covenant brothers. On a more destructive note, it could threaten to severe even a “spiritual father-spiritual son” relationship that exists between an older and a younger minister.
For whatever reason, it is never the intention of God for ministers of God to have unresolvable misunderstandings that could lead to termination of a godly bond or union, especially that of a pastor and his spiritual father, however, we cannot shy away from that reality in the church today.
Therefore, it was for this purpose that this article was written, to reveal popular pastors who severed their relationship with their spiritual fathers at some point in their ministries.

According to this video, Duncan-Williams openly stated that, at some point in his ministry, there was a rift between himself and Idahosa, one that the latter was trying to amend, but he refused because he felt he did not need his spiritual father anymore.

According to Gambakwe, Angel used to be the spiritual son of Victor Boateng, a popular Ghanian prophet.
However, due to unknown reasons, Angel severed his ties with Boateng but rather chose to submit to the popular Nigerian pastor – Chris Oyakhilome – whom he now considers his spiritual father.
