“Poverty Can Make You Miss The Kingdom of God More Than Plenty of Money” – Reno Omokri Reveals Why

One of the Bible passages the we Christian misinterpret most is the book of Mark chapter 10 verses 25 where Jesus told his disciples that, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

Special assistant to former president Goodluck Jonathan, in person of Bemigho Reno Omokri, has told his followers that being rich is not a ticket to hell fire. Reno Omokri posted this on his twitter page shortly after it was reported that world richest man Elon Musk, is on his way to becoming the first man on earth to become trillionaire in US dollar.

Taken to his twitter page, the human right activist tweeted; “lack of money can make you miss the kingdom of God more than plenty of money. Scripture says thieves, liars, and fraudsters won’t make the kingdom of God. Why do you think people steal, lie and defraud? It is mostly because of poverty, not prosperity.”

Many Christians today use the above Bible passage to console themselves, equating poverty to gateway to heaven and riches to pathway to hell forgetting that, the same Bible said Jesus Christ was made poor that we might be rich.

Just as being poor or rich is not a guaranty to either heaven or hell, it is total yielding to the Holy spirit that is, when one no longer live by the flesh) that guarantee access to heaven either you are rich or poor. Whether you are poverty stricken like Lazarus who went to heaven to be squatting with father Abraham, or ultra wealthy like Job, Solomon, Abraham etc, your yielding to the Holy Spirit is a major determinant factor to where you will spend your eternity because, the kingdom of God is not dependent on mundane things.
