Poverty reduces someone to the position of a slave and a servant, The rich unbeliever will rule over the poor prayer warrior – Apostle Joshua Selman advises believers on prosperity

The Presiding Pastor of Eternity Network International, Apostle Joshua Selman in his recent sermon admonished his congregation not to despise prosperity because it is inclusive in Salvation. According to him, God did not make anyone poor, because there is no dominion in poverty.

The Cleric stated that both the Biblical poor Lazarus and the rich Abraham made heaven, but the difference is the quality of their impact on the earth. He buttressed his point by referring to Proverbs 22:7, which says the rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. “This means poverty reduces someone to the position of a slave and a servant. The rich unbeliever will rule over the poor prayer warrior”, Apostle Selman said.

According to the Cleric, fighting poverty is not just all about storing up wealth, is also about maintaining influence, promoting the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and keeping your soul for God. “Prosperity played a role in salvation. After Jesus was crucified, no prayer warrior was able to bring that dead body from the cross. It took a man of influence and prosperity called Joseph Arithmathea who spoke to the King and offered his virgin tomb, and Jesus Christ was buried”.

Speaking further, the Cleric stated that, despite the misrepresentation of prosperity by some lustful Christians, you should not ignore the rule prosperity played in salvation. “Do not despise the gospel of prosperity. When God prospers you, you will experience peace of mind, but when your prosperity is from the devil, you will lose your peace”, Apostle Selman said.
