Reasons Why a Curious Mind is Necessary for Finding God

The Importance of a Questioning Soul for Experiencing God

Under the motto, “The Bible. We’re hoping that everyone will understand. It has been estimated by Wycliffe Global Alliance that 1.51 billion individuals who speak 6,661 different languages do not have access to the Bible in their native tongue. Without God’s Word, it is impossible to make any headway in your quest to learn more about God. Having access to His truth is a crucial part of the trip, but it isn’t the only one that determines whether or not that journey culminates in the Kingdom of God.

Our efforts will bear fruit only if God’s Spirit is moving among us, and the Spirit’s fruit will rely largely on the state of each person’s heart. Even if we distribute Bibles to everyone, it won’t make them suddenly have “searching hearts.” We are unable to accompany them on their trip or provide them with an elevator ride to the top of the truth tower. Helping a baby bird escape its egg is safer than trying to speed up the process of becoming spiritually aware.

It’s in the chick’s nature to want to emerge from its egg, but that doesn’t mean it can just decide to do so. The baby bird has to scratch its way free. Now more than ever, it is essential that they take action independently. If you save them now, they won’t have time to mature and have the resilience to confront the outside world when they’re ready.

To ignore God’s voice is impossible, even for people who have a Bible and the approval of a teacher. In other words, they have to go through the “search” process. They need practice asking for what they want. They need to develop the habit of actively seeking God’s counsel and knowledge. We Christians turn to the Bible for direction, wisdom, and perspective whenever we are confronted with challenges like as war, plague, pain, and sadness. Two passages in the Bible provide light on this idea:

A man is considered “smart” when he comprehends and knows God, when he has a deep familiarity with God’s unchanging love, justice, and righteousness (Jeremiah 9:23-24, ESV).

Knowing and respecting the Holy One, the LORD, is the first step toward gaining wisdom (Proverbs 9:10, NIV).

Knowledge of God’s Unchanging Love, Justice, and Righteousness

When two individuals read the identical piece of writing, they get different meanings. One person’s life is completely altered, while another’s is unaffected. If two individuals hear the identical message, one will repent and the other will either be indifferent or mocking.

So why is there such a discrepancy in opinions? What sets them apart is their internal state. A “revelation” from God occurs when someone “seeks” him. A person who is a “seeker” is one who has an intense desire to learn more about God. If you really want to discover God, God says you will.

To really know God, one must have a deeper understanding than only what is taught in the Bible. This is not a walk you can do in a day; it’s a trek you’ll be on for the rest of your life. It’s not about attaining some lofty goal like the top of Mount Everest, but rather about the little, everyday victories that add up to big gains in wisdom, insight, and intimacy. Always, one may get additional knowledge.

The trip that Job went on was quite similar. He was honest and trustworthy, and he avoided doing wrong because he respected God and knew His will. Still, he could not claim to have a personal relationship with the Almighty. Job’s health, his children, his riches, and his things all vanished in a single instant. Things had gone from bad to worse for him. His suffering was unfathomable.

Job argued with his three companions about his terrible predicament, maintaining that God must be mistaken. The thought that “I am virtuous and so I should not be suffering” preoccupied Job. Several of Job’s acquaintances visited him to provide their religious insights. From the same theological vantage point, they reached a different conclusion about Job’s predicament: because he was experiencing such severe hardship, he must have committed grave sins. If you turn away from your sins, God will improve your situation. Job maintained his integrity among his companions. Because I am good and deserving of no harm, I conclude that God must be wrong.

Elihu, a young guy, was listening to the conversation between the four men. Elihu has a unique quality that the other three pals lacked. It was clear from what he said that he had a personal relationship with God. God used Elihu to communicate with Job, but Job’s patience could not withstand the message. A greater quantity of skills was required for Job. Even now, Job disbelieved in God. God argued with Job. As God repeatedly underlined, He is perfect and never errs.

Experiencing Success in Locating the Lost Gold

As God expounded about Himself, Job gained a deeper familiarity with and comprehension of God. The treasure was discovered by Job. Then Job replied to God,

“(Now) I understand that nothing is impossible with You, and that Your plans can never be defeated. You enquired, “Who is this who keeps secret My advice without understanding?” It’s true that I (Job) rambled on about concepts that were beyond my head and too fantastic for me to really appreciate. You prompted them to “Hear me out” at this minute. The questions I ask will lead to the information I need from you. Before now, I had only heard rumors about You, but now I can finally see You with my own two eyes. To that end, I take back what I said and repent in ashes. This is from (Job 42:1-6, New International Version)

Job’s pain led him on a path of self-examination and discovery; but, it was not until he had an intimate conversation with God that he finally said, “now I know you.” God granted Job a new family, fresh health, and new prosperity once he repented.

A genuine seeker is necessary for the path that leads to God. To learn about God, one must have a genuine interest in doing so and then go about finding answers to their questions. The state of one’s soul is crucial. When we really seek God with contrite hearts, He will make Himself known to us.

The Lord, according to the Bible, knows every person’s intent and knows all of their private thoughts and desires (1 Chronicles 28:9, NIV). God promises that if you actively seek Him, you will find Him. There are others who are curious like us. To the same end, God is looking for our devotion.

The goal of EEM (Eastern European Mission) is to make it simpler for people in Eastern Europe to get a hold of a Bible. As we hand out Bibles, we begin to grasp the mystery of what we’re doing. The path to God, and the path with God, are shrouded in mystery. There’s nothing we can do to stop people from seeing. A sincere desire to learn and grow is essential for hearing God’s voice and gaining His wisdom, knowledge, and insight. God is waiting for us to look for Him as diligently as we would look for hidden riches or a gold mine.

Those who call themselves “seekers” have a pressing desire to learn the truths God has already given to humanity. Many people start their quest by obtaining a Bible. Since this is vital, we will do everything we can to help everyone who wants a Bible may have one.
