The current Head of House, Eloswag, recently sparked reactions online after he was spotted wearing a hoodie with an inscription which many people thought was politically motivated. At the back of Eloswag’s hoodie was the inscription “be obedient and useful.”
Many social media users believed that the inscription on Eloswag’s hoodie was a subtle way of endorsing a particular presidential candidate and his running mate ahead of the 2023 election, and that attracted a lot of reactions from social media users. And one of those who reacted was the former aide to ex-
President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri.
In his reaction, Reno Omokri sent message to the Big Brother Naija organizers for allowing Eloswag to wear an outfit with an inscription on it, and urged them to ensure that such a thing does not happen in the house again.
He added that the Big Brother Naija show is watched by a lot of people, and it is beneficial when politics is not allowed to be brought into it.
In the post he made on his verified Twitter handle, he wrote – “Dear BBN, your show is much watched in Nigeria. It is beneficial to be apolitical. Actions on the programme can polarize viewers, which is something that may have real world implications. Perhaps you may want to take greater care to forestall a recurrence.”
