Sanwo-Olu holds prayer and pep talk with Super Eagles In Cameroon (photos)

In order to boost their morale and put the members of the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles, on a good stead before their opening cracker against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday afternoon, the Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, held a prayer session and a pep talk with the players.

The governor, who disclosed his meeting with the soccer stars and their officials at their hotel in Cameroon, said he had to pay an unscheduled visit to the team in order to boost their morale and encourage them to put in their best.

The governor also said they had some minutes of prayers, saying that they prayed for the success of the national team against Egypt who are seven times champions of the competition while adding that the match will be a tough one.

The governor also posted photographs of his meeting with the players and the officials on his Facebook wall while telling them that both Lagosians and Nigerians were waiting for victory from the members of the national team.

According to Sanwo-Olu: “We paid our team, the Super Eagles, a quick visit before their match to pray with them. 

“I also gave them a pep talk, and best wishes from Lagosians.”

“I let them know we’re in high spirits just like they are and looking forward to a great start at the competition.”
