Saul Never Became Paul – Daddy Freeze Backups His Claim With Bible References

The popular Nigerian-Romanian born public commentator and broadcaster, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly called Daddy Freeze has said that Apostle Saul never changed his name to Paul, but it was his other name.

He made this claim on his official Instagram’s page, saying people are easy to accept lie because they didn’t read the word of God.

“Saul never became Paul. His other name Paul. When would you realize that you have been lied to all your Christian life.’ Daddy Freeze wrote.

He also backed up his claim with bible verses.

” Acts 13:9 – (New Living Transition) : Saul, also known as Paul, was filled with Holy Spirit, and looked the sorcerer in the eyes.” Daddy Freeze wrote.

Daddy Freeze gave further references that during the first missionary journey, he (Saul) and Barnabas were sent together and John Mark went with them as their assistant.

” Barnabas and Saul were commissioned.”

Daddy Freeze, using the above Bible verses, was able to prove his point that Saul never changed his name to Paul after his conversation, as many preachers claimed, but Paul was another name for Saul.

Mind you, it was the teaching and believe of some Christian preachers that Saul changed his name to Paul after he had an encounter with Jesus Christ on his to Damascus, where he wanted to arrest the disciples of Jesus Christ. This claim had led many Christians to change their names after they had converted to Christianity, having the notion that Saul changed his name to Paul.

Meanwhile, I want to believe that the two names Saul and Paul mean the same thing, but in Hebrew language, the name is called or pronounced as Saul while in Roman language, the name is called Paul. In short, the name, Paul or Saul means the same thing in both Hebrew and Roman languages.
