Nigeria is a blessed country and her citizens are always doing exploits and remarkable things in representing the country. With regard to Gospel music, Nigeria is on the list and commands attention with talented Gospel artists who are genuinely doing credible things.

This article explores some of the details particularly about churches some Nigerian artists attend. The sole reason being, these artists have wonderful songs but very little or nothing is known about them, status, “side hustle” and most importantly, their churches.

1. Mercy Chinwo

This is one lady that does not need any form of introduction considering the fact that she proved her mettle when she won Nigerian Idol and, finally took the bull by the horn to swerve into Gospel songs. Mercy is popularly noted for her hit song, “Excess Love” and other remarkable songs, especially her otherwise recent “Onememma” with Chioma Jesus. If you ever have any difficulty with recognizing her or placing her facially, her beret would easily give her away. She was formerly attending The Apostolic Church but has now moved over to House on the Rock.

2. Big Bolaji

Bolaji does attend RCCG, The Redeemed Christian Church of God. He is a remarkable praise singer who is widely noted for the annual concert he organises. He’s a raw talent. You need to go see how he how he leads praise songs. Remarkable indeed.

3. Frank Edwards

Frank Edwards does not need any form of introduction. Almost everybody knows that he attends Christ Embassy. He is super talented and would always be regarded for bringing in creative concepts to the new dimension of praise and worship songs we now enjoy. His songs are mostly hits and you cannot mention some and leave out some.

He is equally a vocal instructor and a consultant. Tim Godfrey is with House On The Rock currently.
