Marriage is a sensitive institution that the spouses involved in it must handle with maturity and extra care. In most cases in a marriage, the responsibility of taking care of the house and attending to other domestic activities falls on the woman. But, in the 21st-century definitions of things, home management and controls fall on both the man and the woman of the house. In this wise, a lot of conflicts have resulted in several areas and on several issues. This could at times results in verbal abuse that has degenerated into various marital conflicts and even breaks sometimes. In this respect, Rev Dr Uma Ukpai the founder and president of Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association in his recent ministerial sermon as a guest speaker at Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA in Abuja has delivered a message as shared by Ndepo Tv on how women should handle their spouses during verbal abuse. The cleric has advised women on what to say when their husband calls them an idiot.
As shared by Ndepo Tv, the cleric has advised the women in times when their husband calls them an idiot not to be angry but instead, they should say, My brother, God made many of us idiots and I am one of them but you also look like one of us. The cleric also advised that the women should not get angry whenever they are having heated situations with their husbands. This is because anger will make them say things that should not be said by a believer.
As shared by Ndepo Tv, the cleric has also advised men in the need to know that every woman has one thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight (1958 ) connecting points in her memory area, so they do not forget things but, they could forgive. The cleric continues that, even after forty years of a mistake done by her husband, that she has forgiven, she would still remember every detail of it. The cleric also advised men to be careful of what they say to their wives because, after years she will still remember.
Marriage requires wisdom and knowledge to handle. It takes the Grace of God to manage a home.
