Pastor Kumuyi warns Pastors about gathering people to give them motivational talks. According to him, every time, everywhere and in every fellowship, the important question is what says the Scripture? We don’t gather people to just give them motivational talks of men or pet talks, but to teach the scriptures.
“For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe” (1 Thessalonians 2:13). You weigh the words of men with the word of God.
Finally, he said that some people follow and pattern their lives after the words of men. But you will be disappointed on that final day. It is the word of God, the only solitary book that points us to heaven. The word of God works in our salvation, and sanctification and put us on the right path to glory.
