Serving God should be seen as a privilege and not as a burden – Bishop Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo has said serving God should not be considered as a burden but as privilege because there are numerous benefits in serving God. He said God is not unrighteous not to reward those serving Him in sincerity and in truth. Unlike human beings who might find faults in those serving them and deny their servants son benefits, God cannot deny His children their benefits or find faults in those who serve Him honestly.

In his sermon during the “Week Of Spiritual Emphasis”, Bishop David Oyedepo said it is unfortunate that some people see serving God as a burden without knowing it’s a great privilege. He said people should learn how to sacrifice their time, talents and other resources in the service to God and expect tremendous benefits from God.

2. Serving God as a burden will bring no return:

He said Christians should know that serving God as a burdens will not yield any benefit to them. There is no doubt about this. No one rewards an unfaithful and unproductive servant. God will only honour and bless those who considered His work as a privilege and not as a burden to them.

Christians should learn from this message from Bishop Oyedepo and consider serving God as an opportunity to be blessed by Him and not as a burden.
