Shiloh is not a church event, but a mountain of empowerment – Pastor Faith Oyedepo

SHILOH IS NOT A CHURCH EVENT BUT A MOUNTAIN OF EMPOWERMENT.

AS YOU PREPARE FOR SHILOH, AVOID DISTRACTIONS SUCH AS UNFORGIVENESS.
LET GO AND LET GOD.
UNFORGIVENESS ONLY HOLDS PEOPLE DOWN IN BONDAGE.

WHEN YOU FORGIVE SOMEONE, YOU ARE NOT DOING THAT PERSON GOOD, YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF GOOD.
WHEN YOU DO YOURSELF GOOD, YOU MAKE PROGRESS IN LIFE.

WE MUST APPEAR AT SHILOH AS NEW BOTTLES, READY FOR THE NEW WINE, IN ORDER TO RETURN FRESHLY EMPOWERED
-Pastor (Mrs) Faith Oyedepo at CHoP

Father, again today, we thank You. For these amazing testimonies, You are the Doer, take all of the glory. We decree that these testimonies shall be permanent. Again this morning, by Your Word speak to us, change our story and let Your name be glorified in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Again for bringing us to this new month, let’s give the Lord Jesus Christ a big clap offering. Praise God

All through this week, in our Covenant Hour of Prayer, our subject of consideration is:
GETTING SET FOR DIVINE ENCOUNTERS AT SHILOH 2021
-You will encounter God.
Here we are today, the 1st day of the month of December, our month of Shiloh.
-The God of Shiloh will visit someone here.

Psalm 119:144
As we get set for Shiloh this year, having entered into our Shiloh month, very important, understanding of what Shiloh is very critical. Therefore, this morning, the first thing we must take note is the fact that it is not a Church event but a mountain of empowerment.
-And this Shiloh 2021, you shall be empowered.
Say with me, “I shall be empowered.”
Empowered for what? Empowered to be more than a conqueror in every sphere of life.
-That shall become your testimony after this Shiloh in Jesus name.

WHAT IS EMPOWERMENT?
No assumption. Among other things, to be empowered simply means to be given legal authority to do something. To be enabled to perform.
-So Shiloh this year, you and I shall be returning legally enabled to perform in every area of lie.
Joshua 18:1
Even though we shall be gathering together as a congregation, let always remember that encounters are usually personal in nature and everyone encounters God differently.
Acts 2:3 – “…each of them.” They were together in a congregation but it didn’t rest upon them just like a congregation, it also rested upon them as individuals. Encounters with God are usually personal.
-Therefore, personally this Shiloh you will encounter God
-And the land (talking about the issues of life) shall be subdued before you.
Psalm 66:3
-The greatness of God’s power shall be manifested in someone’s life, beginning from this Shiloh in Jesus name.

  1. We must ensure that we turn from our sins. Because until we do that, we cannot be empowered. We must turn from our sins before we can be empowered.
    Proverbs 1:23
Until you and I turn, it is not our turn. But when we turn, then it becomes our turn.
What is it that you and I must turn away from?
You know it better. Let’s examine ourselves, let’s check ourselves, let’s purify ourselves, no one else can purify another one. It has to be personal, individual and until we turn, it cannot be our turn.
Luke 5:38 – Until the bottles are new, if you attempt to pour new wine into old bottles, it says it will burst and the bottles will spoil; then the wine will spill. But you know God will not allow His own wine to spill. Therefore, the bottles must become new bottles. Let’s turn from everything that can make God to turn His eyes away from us.
He says if we examine ourselves and we judge ourselves, then we shall not be judged.
-This Shiloh, you and I must return freshly empowered.

But for that power to be released upon us afresh then we must come to Shiloh as new bottles, ready for the new wine. You know the closer you get to an event you are preparing for, the more intense the preparation. You will become very, very serious with it. You will pay rapt attention to every little area, to be sure that everything is in order.
Why? Because the event you are preparing for is right at the door.
It’s the same thing with Shiloh. Now we have entered into our Shiloh month, today is the 1st day of our Shiloh month. We are very, very close to that empowerment gathering. Let’s pay close attention to every department of our lives where attention is required and we need to make a turn. Because until the bottle becomes new, the new wine cannot fill it up.
-None of us will return empty from Shiloh this year in Jesus name.
Luke 24:49 – This empowerment is coming from on high, therefore we must be ready to make ourselves set, fit for the Master’s use and we shall return empowered in Jesus name.

We must understand that we must follow peace with all men to avoid any form of distraction. We must maintain focus and for us to do that, we must follow peace not just with some people but with all men. So we can avoid distraction from hearing the voice of God during Shiloh. There is a world of difference between hearing the voice of someone and just hearing noise.
-This Shiloh you will not be there to hear only noise, you will hear the voice and not just any kind of voice but the voice of God Almighty.
Say with me, “I shall hear the voice of God at Shiloh this year.
Hebrews 12:14
-For you and I, this Shiloh we shall see the Lord.

Matthew 6:14
Therefore, it is important for us to look inwards, “Is there any kind of unforgiveness around us?”
It holds people down in bondage. Let go and let God. I tell people all the time, when you forgive someone, you are not doing that person good, you are doing yourself good and when you do yourself good, you make progress in life.
“What has that individual done to you, hurt you, done something bad to you?”
Let go and let God. Forgiveness is key.
Therefore, as we round up our preparation before Shiloh begins this year, check every department of your life, let there be no root of bitterness, like the Bible says, because it troubles people.

-Your destiny shall not be troubled in Jesus name.
When we take all of these things out of the way, then we make ourselves ready to be empowered from on high. You know ‘power pass power’. We live in a world of power. Look at the testimonies we heard early this morning for example, from nothing to the next level, complete turnaround. Why? Because of empowerment.
-Someone’s testimony shall be stronger.
Look at the second testifier, very important: deafness, dumbness, the spirit of death, everything (gone) in one sweep. When the power from on high came, the power on earth had to surrender.
-Every negative thing tormenting your destiny will surrender to you at Shiloh
Therefore, welcome to your mountain of empowerment.
