Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke at 1st Service, Faith Tabernacle. It was the Sixth Pre-Shiloh Encounter Service and the man of God spoke about Bible translations.
He said that when God speaks, he just leaves it to Him. You are up to anything You say. That is what they call light. It is not conjuring scriptures and reading from NIV. “You know, some of those translators are not believers. There are some of them that virtually remove Holy Spirit from what they write,” he said. He further explained that people today now take pleasure in it: I am going through 26 different translations.
“You are going to confuse yourself and lose your light,” he continued. He has been reading King James (Version) all his life: Doth speaketh the Lord. That is Heaven’s language and it is paying him. I have not learnt one word of Greek or Hebrew in my life. God knows not everybody will know Greek, so He wrote for me the one I can understand.
