The Understanding and Usefulness of the Declarative Gifts was discussed by Pastor W.F Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church. He explained to them the importance of the Gifts of Tongues and Interpretation, as well as the fact that Spiritual tongues are actual languages. He read from Acts 2:6 in the Bible, which reads
“Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language”
Spiritual tongues, on the other hand, are true languages, according to the man of God. It’s not the speaker’s language, yet it’s often accurate. It isn’t always just one syllable, and it isn’t a babaric thing that no one can comprehend anyplace. Spiritual tongues, he claims, are several languages that the Lord gave the early apostles through the Holy Spirit. This explains why when the Holy Spirit descended on the early apostles on Pentecost, a large group of people from many areas recognized one other’s languages.
The man of God went on to clarify that the gift of tongues is not something that can be taught or learned. Peter did not demonstrate, instead commanding them to speak in their native tongues or repeat what he said in a faster and faster manner until they learned their own dialect. The Holy Spirit is generally the one who does it. Even though they didn’t understand the language they were speaking, they magnified God by speaking in tongues.
Finally, the early apostles received the Holy Spirit in the same way since God has promised it. We can get ours as soon as they get theirs. We must take the actions necessary to commit our life to Christ. He told us that we could ask for anything we wanted and that we would get it. As a result, anytime you ask in faith, you will undoubtedly be granted.
