The desire to leave the country has become very prevalent today, especially in the face of the many challenges we face in Nigeria. On social media, and in your daily conversation with other people, you will hear them express this wish. In fact, some have taken the risk of entering another country illegally because they don’t think they can survive in Nigeria anymore.
I remember the story of Isaac, who was commanded by God to remain in his country while everyone else was relocating to Egypt, and how God gave him a hundredfold return of the seed he sowed, until he was so rich that the Philistines envied him.
What matters is divine direction. If God directs you to leave Nigeria, then you must leave. But if God does not tell you to do so, then you can prosper in spite of the issues we face here.
