The Senior Pastor of Power City International, Pastor Abel Damina is known for correcting misconceptions in Christian beliefs. In his recent teaching, he mentioned that the blood of Jesus is not a physical dripping liquid as people believe, but that the blood of Jesus symbolizes the life of Jesus, which was laid down at the cross for mankind to be saved.
“If the blood of Jesus is liquid, how many pines will Jesus have in His body for the whole world to draw from? That is why it is wrong for you to say ‘I sprinkle the blood of Jesus’ because it is not a physical substance. Otherwise, it would have finished long before you were born”, Dr. Damina said.
Speaking further, the Cleric said that the washing of feet of disciples by Jesus is a demonstration of how Jesus washes away our sins with His life. He equally stated that it is wrong for a church to hold a feet washing service. “Jesus did not give us instructions to start washing people’s legs, if you read John 13:14 and all you understand is to be washing people’s legs, you are misunderstanding the scripture”, Dr. Damina said.
