The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye has submitted that the choice we make in choosing a life partner can affect our destiny either positively or negatively.
The esteemed man of God made this declaration in the Open Heavens devotional manual of 2nd October, 2021 with the topic, “The Right Choice In Marriage “.
Pastor Adeboye added that the choice of a life partner will, to a very large extent, either strengthen or weaken a person’s relationship with God. And that is why in choosing a life partner, God must be involved.
Using King Solomon as an example, Pastor Adeboye said King Solomon was someone who did not want to forget God for all he has done for him, but unfortunately for him, his choices of wives made him to fall from grace to grass and consequently lost his throne. Solomon chose to marry strange women who ultimately influenced him to forsake God and serve idols instead.
Pastor Adeboye concluded that many people are still making costly mistakes of not involving God in choosing a life partner and added that God is still in the business of choosing the right marriage partners for those who seek him.
For those who are trusting God for a life partner, Pastor Adeboye advised that they should seek the face of God and a sound Christian counselling before choosing a life partner.
