“The Church Is No More Respected” – Apostle Johnson Suleman

According to the video making rounds online, the Nigerian Televangelist and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry (OFM), Apostle Johnson Suleman made a shocking statement, when he said, “The Church is no more respected.”

Apostle Suleman lamented about the inability of the Church in Nigeria to have one voice, in order to address national issues. “The Church is no more respected. A woman said, the Christian in the time of Abacha are no more. They held a prayer meeting during the time of Abacha and they said, enough is enough and that was it. That time the Church had one voice. Today, if Bishop Oyedepo comes and stand against what is happening in the country, another pastor will shamelessly do a video to counteract him. The Church had no more one voice,” he said.

The clergyman vowed to stand up for men of God against any forms of criticism, and he revealed how he used to slapped people who criticized the Archbishop. “I will always stick my neck to defend, anytime a man of God is criticized. Before God called me, I know how many people I slapped when they spoke against the Archbishop. There was a young man who spoke against the Archbishop, I called few people and we dragged him to a primary school and beat him. Nobody could arrest me because my mother was a Policewoman,” Apostle Suleman said.
