The Church: The Building or The People?

In a world where it seems as though a lot of priorities have been misplaced you can’t help but really wonder what went wrong.

This misplaced priority has somehow crawled its way into the church such that we have christians that confuse even God himself.

Things that are unworthy to be heard amongst unbelievers have gained way into the church. Slanders and scandals. Backbiting and back sliding.How did we get here?.

An average believer has no idea or knowledge about basic things that even a baby christian should be well exposed to. We go to church but come back with what?.

Is the church really just a building or the people inside the building? Where did we get the idea that a church must be big to be able to meet one’s spiritual needs, or where was it made a rule that those in the church should contend for recognition?

We have misplaced priorities and even disposed some, and it is costing us a lot. The “fellowshipping with the brethren”has been replaced with “gossiping with the brethren”. The “pray without ceasing” has been replaced with “play without ceasing”. The “love one another” has been replaced with “lust one another”.

Then I ask again is the church just the building or the people?

If it’s the building, then what are the criteria for making the building “church”? What are the set down rules? If it’s the people who define the people, then what kind of people should be called “A Church”?

Are we still having Churches that are churches after the order of the Church of the  Firstborn? Do we still have churches that abide strictly with the apostle’s doctrines? Are the churches we have now a true reflection of the Father? Are the congregations in our churches the replica of the assembly in heaven?
