The hidden lessons behind “the Lord’s prayer” everyone seems to ignore

In Luke 11, Jesus thought his disciples how to pray.

Jesus said to them, “when you pray, say this:

‘Father: may your holy name be honoured; may your kingdom come.

Give us day by day the food we need.

Forgive us our sins, as we forgive everyone who does us wrong.

And do not bring us to hard testing'”.

This prayer as short as it may look is very powerful and has lot of meanings and teachings that affects our everyday life attached to it.

In the first paragraph, it says: our Father, may your holy name be honoured,may your kingdom come.

This places teaches us about the importance of praise in our prayers. Many people today are so much engrossed and overwhelmed by their problems that they don’t even find time to prays God. We forget to even thank God for the ones he had done when we kneel to pray. All we are concerned is that particular thing we want God to do for us. Praise God first then your request can follow.

The next line says: Give us day to day the food we need.

This is probably the shortest line but with the deepest lesson and the most failed to keep.

No one wants to have only the food he needs day to day anymore. Now, everyone wants to have the food that his next three generations to come will eat.

If we can keep to the lesson of this particular line,then our world will become good again.

How do you explain the fact that some people have billions of dollars in their account while there are those who cannot boast of 2 square meal a day. Yet every day,we say and read this prayer.

Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who does us wrong.

You have been keeping malice with one guy or girl,woman or man but everyday you pray and ask God to forgive your sins. When will that be possible when it is clearly stateyin the Lord’s prayer that you can only be forgiven when you also are a forgiver.

And the last line,it says: And do not bring us to hard testing.

This places simply teaches us that as a child of God,expect tests and trials but pray that God will not allow the one that will be beyond your grace to come to you.

So, when you find yourself in the midst of challenges,do not ask God why you. Do not think that by becoming a Christianity, God will not allow challenges to come to you. The challenges are test of your faith.
