“The Level Of Your Noise Does Not Determine If God Will Answer Your Prayers” Bishop Oyedepo Says

During prayer time at church, I’m sure you have one of those people who love to scream, clap loudly, or draw out their words in a raised voice while they pray. While I am not mocking them in any way, as I believe everyone should have their own unique way of connecting to God the Father, it is a fact that the intensity of the noise you make during your prayer does not determine the answers you will get from God.

Bishop Oyedepo has said that it is not the level of noise you make during prayer that guarantees if God will hear you, rather, it is whether or not your heart is connected to God in the prayer.

He said this during his sermon today in the Covenant Hour Of Prayer.

He gave the example of Hannah, who did not get an answer from God until her heart was connected in the prayer, and she made a specific request. Hannah’s heart was so connected, that Eli thought she had drunk too much wine!

He then shared an experience from his own heart. He said there was a time in church, when he asked God for one thousand souls in a month. He said his noise level was so low, that even his wife seating next to him did not even hear the prayer. But because his heart was connected while he made the request, God heard him, and gave him one thousand souls that month!

One way to check if your heart is really connected to the prayer you are making is to find out if you can still remember what you were praying about midway into the prayers. I’m sure this has happened to you at least once in your prayer life. Another way to know is to check if your mind is wandering during the prayer. If it is, your heart is not connected at all.

The Bible says that the kind of prayer that works wonders is the effectual and fervent prayer of a righteous man. Another word for fervent is heart felt. As you connect your heart in prayer today, God will grant you speedy answers. Be blessed.
