The Mystery Behind the words “God Bless You” – Apostle Joshua Selman
A Ministry consulted a young up and coming graphics designer and asked him to make them a design which would stand as the symbol for the ministry.
After many tries and errors, the designer came up with something amazing for the ministry which left the client himself dumbfounded.
At the end of all, the representative of the ministry said “Oh! Bro. John, this design is lovely. Even papa loves it. God bless you sir” and that was all. Nothing like “please help us manage this token.
This young up and coming designer was dejected because he had to put in zeal, time and actually had to buy a material used online.
How could he have ended it with “God bless you?” Not even a penny. Some weeks after, this young up and coming designer got a call from an uncle asking him to clear a laptop which he got for him. It was laptop which if placed on sale, costs not less than 200k in Naira.
He was elated and felt like his world was just starting. Few months later, this young up and coming became a man who now earns thousands of cool dollars from designs.
What changed?
One of the most underated statement used today is ‘God bless you’
You see many saying that statement without knowing the power it carries.
Others like ‘ All is well’ ‘You’re blessed’ have also been so underated.
Listen to this; nothing in this whole wide world can measure up to anything if God’s blessing is not added.
Have you ever wondered how our fathers and mothers who worked as petty traders, farmers and with meager source of income sent us to school as many as we are and we came out in flying colours, got to the institution and shone when the parents with eagle source of income find it hard to have children who came out in flying colours too?
What accountant can account for God’s blessings in the life of a man?
Is it in vain that the Holy Book said “It is the blessings of God that maketh rich and add no sorrow” or do we think that saying is archaic?
No sir! It stands still.
Let me ask you this; if you met with Bill Gates and he gives you two options to pick from: “Do you want me to give you my money or you want me to give you myself?” Which would you go for?
Yeah! I get your answer. God’s blessings is a part of God. God’s blessings is a raw material which is processed into chains of good things in one’s life.
It doesn’t matter the vessel used. Even if the man telling you “God bless you” is an ardent drunkard, claim the reality. What could have happened to the Israelites if they had despised Rahab? Hmmm!
I guess it’s high time we divorced this act of holier-than-thou and embrace all that God has for us irrespective of the vessel speaking to us.
Come into the reality of some of these words, say it to people often and when anyone tells you those words, claim it. You can have the gift of praying for many hours. But the answer to your prayers might’ve been put in the lips of a man so inferior to you!
These are mysteries!
Pray sensitively
Act sensitively
Move sensitively
Be sensitive to every word
A curse does not stand without a cause
A curse comes in most cases by utterance
If a word can take a man’s life to abyss,
That same word can restructure a man’s life.
Above all, Be good to all men. If you do bad and people pray for you, the prayers are bound to curse you!
