The One for Whom the Heavens Opened (part 3)

Focus: Abraham
Abraham is called the father of faith, which means he is the example for true believers. A role model for believers to follow.
The Almighty God testifies of Abraham, saying “I know him.”
You must live a life that will cause the Almighty God to say without any doubt that “this man/woman is mine!”
Get to that stage where you can hear from God yourself! John 15:15
☆ It is a very glorious thing to be able to hear directly from God. It’s a beautiful thing.
☆ God wasn’t just Abraham’s friend. In Genesis 15:1, He said “I am your Reward.”
Who is Abraham?
• One of the first to hear the name of God. Genesis 17:1
• The first fellow to have a covenant relationship with God. Genesis 17:2-4
• First fellow to have his name changed by God.
Special attributes of Abraham
- He was a covenant keeper. Genesis 17:9-13, 23-24
- He was the first to pay tithe. Genesis 14:13-20
- He was the first to give a firstfruit sacrifice. Genesis 22:1-18
- He was a lesson in purity, particularly where marriage is concerned. Genesis 24
☆ You can be a partaker of the blessings of Abraham.
The heavens that opened to Abraham can open to you.
Salvation Call
If you’ve not given your life to Christ, or have backslidden, cry to the Lord to have mercy on you, save your soul, and wash you clean with His blood.
Tell Him you take Him as your Lord and Saviour today.
