“The purpose of the church is to attract a crowd” – What I Told A Pastor Who Told Me Not To Pastor A Large Crowd – Pastor David Ibiyeomie

The general overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Oyedepo, spoke to his members in a message titled “Prayer for Possibilities,”. He revealed what he told a pastor who advised him not to pastor a large church.

According to the revered cleric, God expects his children to multiply, which is the reason why he commanded them to be fruitful: because Jesus Christ, who is the head of the church (God’s children), was not only fruitful in whatever he did, but also had large crowds who followed him and gathered around him to receive from him.

The respected man of God pointed out that a crowd is not against the scriptures because the purpose of the church is to attract a crowd. He said that anywhere Jesus Christ is present, multitudes in the form of crowds usually gather there.

He then revealed what he had told the pastor, who advised him not to pastor a large crowd. He said he told him that he doesn’t believe Jesus Christ should be with a small church because, being the head of the church, he is always at a place where there are multitudes in attendance.

In conclusion, he advised his members to go out for evangelism and bring people to the kingdom of God because soul-winning is one of the means to generate crowds or multitudes of people for God.
