MY COUSIN IN CANADA JUST FOUND OUT THAT SHE IS PREGNANT FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER BEING CHILDLESS AT THE AGE OF 43.

ONE OF MY MENTORS AT 76 YEARS IN THE KENNETH COPELAND FAMILY LOST HIS MEMORY. I WAS AT THE MEETING WHEN KENNETH COPELAND DECLARED: IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN: RISE UP AND LET’S PRAY.

ELDERSHIP IN THE BODY OF CHRIST IS NOT ABOUT AGE.

James 5:13 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.
This verse was written by James the half-brother of Jesus Christ. He had lived with Jesus for 33 and half years. He didn’t know he was God but by the time he knew Jesus was God, he went ballistic. By the time the book of James was written, apostle Peter had retired. You can imagine the number of years this was after the death of Jesus Christ. So James was now the senior pastor of the first church in Jerusalem at the time of his writing.
So with all the happenings involving the Holy Spirit and other situations, saints began to write him letters saying: we are sick; we are dying; what should we do? Church Gist. The book of James was a response to the complaints of the church at that time.

What is the response to affliction then? James said, let him pray. He didn’t say you should go to prayer contractors. Apostle James knew that with this power that is available to us as believers, it will take a lot for God to reject your prayer because Jesus is at His right hand tapping Him and saying, “this is one of the people I died for. We had an agreement”.
John 16: 23-24
The antidote of affliction is prayer, not complaints. You don’t want to publish something that will make the devil gain an upper hand. I am not saying you should live in denial but don’t like to be pitied.

Is anyone happy? Let him sing psalms

Is anyone among you sick? The Greek word here means bedridden: you can’t lift your hand or your head.
Somebody close to us got hit by the enemy. He couldn’t pray. There are situations when people even lose their memory. How do you quote scriptures?
One of my mentors at 76 years in the Kenneth Copeland family lost his memory. I was at the meeting when Kenneth Copeland said, it is not going to happen: rise up and let’s pray. And he came back to life. He is a preacher, very sound teacher. Church Gist. How would you preach if you lost your memory? That was the time my father also lost his memory. The difference is the company they built. My dad was 77 years at that time.

Eldership in the body of Christ is not about age. I am sorry to say some elders are ignorant in what I am talking about. When you call them, they will mess you up.
The anointing of the elders is ALEIPHO, not CHRIO
CHRIO is when the oil is referred to as the Holy Ghost. ALEIPHO is when oil is referred to for medicinal purposes. Till today, oil is used to massage the body. Medicine had not grown at the time. So they said, let’s do something in the natural to relax the sick but it is the prayer of faith, just as it is in verse 15 of James chapter 5, that will raise that sick up. Church Gist. In this instance, you don’t talk to God, you talk to the situation.
Jesus did not talk to God about the fig tree, he spoke to the fig tree.

Why is it that you pray for the sick or you decree over your finances or family, or you speak over your child and it doesn’t happen?
A dear family in this church gave birth and they found out the child was not speaking. So the dad came to me and said to me, “Pastor, there is something I didn’t tell you. Our daughter is not talking”. I said, “What! What do you mean by that? . So we decided on a day and they brought the lady to me. You would have thought that I would shake here and there and shout. There are times we do that. I said, they should come and put the baby on my table. I started playing with her, looking for instructions. And when I had gathered my hope together in the spirit, then I cursed the situation and I commanded her to talk. And I left them. They got into the car and they called me back: pastor, she is talking. And she is not only talking, but she is also doing well at school. That was a prayer of faith. I can tell the parents had prayed but at a point, they said, “We are not going to fight this battle alone. Let’s go to pastor”.

So why is that you pray and you don’t see results? It is because faith works by Hope. If your hope is not in place, your faith will be crippled. There are church based on hope that say no matter what you are going through, you will make it through. Just hold on. It is good but if you stop at that point, you will not see results. Hope doesn’t change things but hope will give you something called earnest expectation.
Expectation is the mother of manifestation. There are a lot of people with faith but not hope.

Hebrews 11:1

If your faith has nothing to give substance to, it dies.
If you take a building for instance, you cannot just build a six-storey tower without an architectural plan. There is nothing to give substance to; there is no blueprints. Hope gives you that blue print.
It is the image you create with hope that faith can take out. You remember the man in the bible that said, “I believe, help my unbelief”. He had faith in Jesus but there was no hope.
Hope deferred makes the heart sick. So many people don’t have hope if they have longed for that thing for a long time.

The man at the pool of Bethsaida stayed there for thirty eight years. By the time Jesus showed up, he had already lost hope.
Jesus had to bypass his faith and carried him on his faith.
The word SUBSTANCE is from the Greek word HUPOSTASIS. HUPO means under. STASIS means what you are standing on.
Faith needs hope so that it has something to give substance to.

That’s why you shouldn’t just say I want a car. Church Gist. What kind of car do you want?
The intelligent question is, Pastor, which car? And then I tell you, it’s a Honda. Then you ask again, Pastor what colour?
What are you trying to do? What you are trying to do is to paint a picture on your inside.

So God had promised Abraham a child and he found out that for 25 years Abraham could not have a child.
Genesis 15:2
Abraham was the father of faith but his hope was wrong. His picture was wrong. Some people say, I know that God will do it. But while they are saying that, they are thinking of their uncle. Their picture is wrong.

Genesis 15:5
God had to create a picture in Abraham by making him count the stars in the sky. And verse 6 of Genesis 15:5 was the result. And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.
If you can believe, it will shock you how your life would turn around.

THE STORY OF MY 43-YEAR-OLD CHILDLESS COUSIN IN CANADA
A cousin in Canada called me on phone shouting. She is 43 years old but still no child. When mummy wrote her book, she ordered and made sure she got one. As she started reading the book, a testimony story was there. And she said, what! She had heard the story before but it dawned on her more with the book. Then she started using the book to pray. She bought many copies and gave it to people saying, “You need to read this book”.
She just found out that she is pregnant for the first time being 43 years old.
Have you realized that once we share a testimony, If it’s a testimony of neck, that week we will be having more neck testimonies?

THE TESTIMONY OF THE LUMP IN CHURCH
A testimony was shared here one day about a lump in church. A man whose wife had the same issue went home and told the wife that “today, this is what happened and today your will also receive your healing. And his wife was healed too.”

When Mary was pregnant, God took her straight to Elizabeth who was 6 months pregnant too.
Our problem is that we hang with so many non-entities who have no idea about our inheritance in Christ. And they ruin what you carry.
THE PRAYER OF FAITH TAKES THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN YOUR INSIDE AND SPREADS IT AROUND.
HOPE IS A MENTAL PICTURE OF WHAT YOU EARNESTLY EXPECT.
You must hope in Jesus did. Men are normally calculative. Church Gist. But when it comes to God, don’t be like that.

WHY DID THE BIBLE SAY “IN CONTRARY TO HOPE BELIEVED IN HOPE”?
Because the natural hope says you can’t make babies anymore but the supernatural hope says, I have made you the father of many nations. Church Gist. Your career is saying you are retiring and that’s the end. But the supernatural hope says “Better is the end of a matter than the beginning thereof”. Your family says, nobody grows beyond 45 years but supernatural hope says, with long life will I satisfy you.
