Pastor Reno Omokri, the popular Nigerian Public Commentator and Human Rights Activist has spoken on the church that gave the wife of a pastor “mummy G.O” as he said that title is not in line with the Bible.
Omokri who took to his social media page to share this said a wife of a pastor is just like every other sister in the church and that she has no authority in church administration. He cited the apostles of Jesus Christ as examples and said that they all had wives but there was no place in the scriptures where prominence was given to them.
His post read in full, “The role of Mummy G.O is unscriptural. A pastor’s wife is just that-a wife. She has absolutely no authority in the church, other than being a sister, like any other. Read Scripture. Peter and other apostles were married. Yet, Scripture gave their wives no prominence”
